“You can’t be living a soft life when you owe someone”

Says SVilla in a new banger

Johannesburg- SVilla has just the perfect song for everyone who is being owed money but does not know to go about asking for it back nicely. It is SVilla’s fourth single since he signed with Ambitiouz Entertainment, and it is titled ‘Imali Yam’. The upbeat tempo single released on Friday, the 26th of February 2021, and it is here to fix the country.

‘Imali Yam’ conveys a story of an individual who is being owed money by someone who is living large, spending money on houses, cars and can afford the expensive lifestyle while he has the nerve to dodge someone he owes. SVilla expresses all this relatable frustration in his three-minute-long vernacular song.

The Afro-pop song is mixed with Amapiano sounds, and still maintaining the same dance feel SVilla introduced us to when he released Sthandwa Sami and his third single, Khaya Lami.

“I am excited about this song release; I think the fans will appreciate the inclusion of Amapiano which is currently trending. I made sure that I still retain the Afro-pop sounds that my supporters are used to,” says SVilla.

As music is known to bring people together, SVilla has high hopes that this banger will maintain relationships while helping other people get what belongs to them. We all know that one of the worst things you can do when you owe someone is to avoid them. There is also nothing as tiring as hounding someone to pay you back.

“Ngizwa bath'utheng'umuz'omusha, ngizwa bath'uthenge ne-iphone entsha, bath'uphuz' utshwal'obubizayo. Mjita kodwa lento oyenzay'ibizwani?” Lyrics from ‘Imali Yam’ mentioning all the materialistic items a person bought while he has debt to settle.

The award-winning label looks forward to seeing Imali Yam propel harder to top charts on radio, TV and digital platforms. It is out on all digital platforms.
