Johannesburg- Nothing is as sweeter than bragging about your success after putting in blood, sweat and tears for years. Ambitiouz Entertainment’s Phumlane “Fakaloice” Zondo who is thrilled to have escaped poverty tells it all in his new and third single titled ‘Sekunjalo’ released on Friday, 21 May 2021.
The radio-friendly Hip Hop song is about how Fakaloice’s life was before doors of success opened for him. A life he lived before he blew up and made it in the music scene. The 27-year-old who hails from Verulam, KZN features Sandile “Macarisma” Mbuyazi, who he has worked with for about eight years. The two reflect on a life which is a reality for many homes and young people with dreams to make it big. Sekunjalo also aims to serve as motivation to each person who will lend an ear to say there is a better tomorrow if one is willing to put in the work.
“Sikhule sihlushwa isikweletu, i bruku ngilifaka ngesipeletu…ngokhisimusi bengiswenka ngempesheni” a line taken from the three-minute song that evokes emotions. This is to give credit to all the parents, guardians who do all in their power to clothe their children even if it means taking up credit or using pension money. Fakaloice also goes on to thank his parents for his success
“I am excited because God has answered my prayers and my life has changed. I've been trying so hard to get where I'm at right now, and I am grateful that my hard work and patience got me here,” says Fakaloice.
Prior to releasing Sekunjalo, Fakaloice touched our hearts with Angzazi and Your Son which he released in 2020. These songs also carry strong and touching messages that resonate with everyday lives.
